- Brenntag and Röhm have renewed their distribution agreement for PLEXIGLAS® and PLEXIMID® Molding Compounds
- The agreement covers 23 countries in Europe including Germany, France, Benelux, Austria, the CEE countries, the Baltics as well as Turkey
Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, today announced the renewed distribution agreement with the long-term partner Röhm for PLEXIGLAS® and PLEXIMID® Molding Compounds. Röhm is leading in methacrylate chemistry and shapes the industry since more than 90 years. Brenntag has a long-lasting and trustful partnership with Röhm for over 30 years.
Röhm’s Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) PLEXIGLAS® is widely used in both injection molding and extrusion to manufacture parts in key industries such as automotive, lighting, household appliances, electronics and optics. PLEXIGLAS® is distinguished by high brilliance and transparency, excellent light transmission and superior UV and weather resistance. It provides high surface hardness and high abrasion resistance and offers unlimited coloring options.
PLEXIMID®, based on Polymethyl methacrylimide (PMMI), is used in demanding applications in the electrical and electronics industry among others, and offers high heat deflection temperature combined with high transmission.
Brenntag is always thriving for sustainable solutions and therefore wants to especially highlight PLEXIGLAS® proTerra with a reduced carbon footprint, containing mechanically recycled PMMA and raw materials certified under ISCC PLUS.
