Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, has improved its climate change rating by CDP from B to A-. Brenntag is therefore placed among the top 4% of disclosing companies globally, rated across all industries and regions. In Germany, Brenntag is rated as among the top 2% of disclosing companies.
The CDP climate change rating evaluates several topics, including energy, verification of emissions, risk management, value chain engagement and Emissions Reduction Initiatives and Low Carbon Products, where Brenntag shows an improvement in performance.
CDP is a global non-profit organization that drives environmental transparency by rating over 24,800+ companies (two-thirds of global market capitalization, 93% of the FTSE100, and 85% of the S&P500) on environmental impact, from D (Disclosure) to A (Leadership).

The CDP assessment underlines Brenntag's leadership in climate change, particularly in light of the progress made in recent years, including the validation of the company’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
